I grew up in Boothbay Harbor, a small town in mid-coast Maine. After graduating from Bates College with a BA in English, I taught eighth-graders in a public secondary school. Following a move to Boston, I accepted a position with a large telecommunications company. I continued working in the telecommunications industry for 16 years in a variety of positions, all of which included significant writing responsibilities.
Writing has always been an enjoyable activity for me. Whether writing papers for school, reports during my business career, or personal letters, poetry, and prose throughout my life, I am happy with a pen in my hand or a keyboard beneath my fingertips. While I now devote most of my efforts to helping clients, I try to make time for personal writing, and from time to time I will post to the blog on this website.
From writers who need simple proofreading or light editing of existing works, to people who need help getting started and want continuing support throughout the writing process, I accept a wide variety of clients. I appreciate the trust clients place in me, and I adhere to a strict confidentiality policy. While no job is too big or too small, I only accept work that I am certain I can complete within my clients' deadlines.
